I am a registered Social Worker & Counsellor. I have over 10 years of professional experience working with individuals, families and groups.
Through my work, I am committed to helping people overcome addictions to alcohol & drugs, depression, anxiety, and other stressors that affect all of us at some time in our lives.

Is Mindfulness A Religion?
No, neither mindfulness nor meditation is a religion. It’s a method of mental training which cultivates the inherent capacity to pay attention to the present moment.
What If I Can’t Clear My Mind?
Mindfulness is not about stopping or avoiding thoughts, it is about becoming aware of your mind and it’s patterns.
When Would Participation In This Group Not Be Advisable?
It is not recommended for people actively addicted to drugs and or alcohol or for people with serious psychotic disorders.
Is Mindfulness & Meditation the same thing?
Meditation refers to a formal seated practice. There are many different types of meditation, some focus on opening your heart, others to expand awareness or calm the mind.
Mindfulness is simply the act of paying attention and learning to relate to our experiences with open-hearted curiosity.
Do I Have To Sit Cross-legged On The Floor?
No, most people who come to the group sit on a chair.
How Much Time Does This Take?
This is an 8-week group program that requires two hours per week.
