What Is Mindfulness?

The idea of mindfulness is simple. It is the ability to be fully present, by focusing your awareness on the current moment, while calmly acknowledging your thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations and environment through an open-hearted and non-judgmental lens.

I’m Tash

Counsellor, coach and co-creator of The Reflective Mind. I have 10 years of professional experience working with people who struggle with mental health, addiction and relationship challenges.

I was a mother at 17, I juggled work, parenthood and studies simultaneously, so I know how challenging life can be. Like many of you I struggle with self-confidence, perfectionism and anxiety.

Mindfulness has really helped me to overcome my insecurities and it has taught me how to embrace life’s challenges. So together with Nic, I hope to share my knowledge and experience with you and help you to realize that you have more power over your life than you think.

I’m Nic

The second half of The Reflective Mind. I offer my life experience. I am a serial “self-improver” and I have spent most of my life working on myself physically, mentally and emotionally.

I have completed several meditation courses including Vipassana meditation and an intensive Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program.

I firmly believe that we need to keep challenging ourselves to be become better people. If we don’t ask the hard questions how can we evolve?

After discovering mindfulness and meditation I came to the realization that in order to improve emotionally and grow spiritually I needed to put the work in. A big part of me wants to share the knowledge I have learned over the years and that is how The Reflective Mind came to be. I hope to add some value to your life.
